Williams is Confident She Will Score Much More Runs in Future Regional Competitions

Rashada Williams, the opening batter of Jamaica women, was the standout player. The team had booked a slot in the semi-finals of the CG United Women’s super50 cup. Nonetheless, the idea of booking a space came after their win was affected by rain.

William Rashada scored 43 out of 69 balls, intending to help Jamaica chase down the 100-run target in 23.2 overs. Stafanie Taylor, the captain, also chipped in 36  from 50 balls with six fours, unlike Williams, who scored four fours.

Prior, Taylor had captured three for 22 as the Windwards were hindered to 101 for nine in 33 overs. Vanessa Watts bagged two wickets for ten runs.

Williams was excited to be among the runs. The excitement was after having a low score in the world cup. Before the regional tournaments, Williams had scored 19 runs in her last seven international runs, which was an excellent booster.

In the recent Jamaica events, William scored 82 runs with 41. The score was among the top in an excellent win for Jamaica as she has been ranked high for achieving 72 in two innings in the super50 cup.

William is confident she will score much more runs in future regional competitions. Her consistent wins gives her hope that she will continue to be regarded as the best women’s player.

When asked to comment on her success, she said she works out a lot by going to the gym and running regularly to keep fit. Hence, she hopes working out will enable her to score more runs, which will be ideal for the Jamaica women’s team.
