He is Getting Closer to a Title-Shot Against Champion Kamaru Usman

Randy Brown made Jamaica proud by defeating Khaos Williams in last weekend’s UFC 274. The Jamaican-American mixed martial artist has been dominating the welterweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The UFC is the biggest martial arts organization in the world.

Randy’s spectacular performances have been characterized by memorable highlight knockouts, and submissions that include guillotine chokes and rear-naked chokes.

Randy has a record of 15 wins and 4 losses in 19 martial arts matches.

His win against Khaos Williams was a split decision that showcased the Jamaican’s speed and elite footwork.

The two fighters were involved in a back-and-forth battle that kicked off the pay-per-view broadcast. Brown got the chance to shine in a high profile UFC card after Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone’s fight was cancelled due to illness.

Williams is known for his superhuman power that has helped him knockout most of his opponents.

Aggressive from the jump, Williams was throwing with power behind his punches like usual but he was also a little more reserved than just gunning for the knockout with every shot. He succeeded in wobbling Brown in the first round.

Williams used this knockdown to look for a submission. This attempt was unsuccessful and the welterweights eventually worked back to the feet.

After admitting he got sloppy during that exchange, Brown started using a lead left jab to keep Williams on the end of his punches and then following up with a hard right behind it. This change in strategy caused serious frustrations to Williams.

With his confidence surging, Brown was staying much busier of the two fighters. He used his jab, height-advantage and slick footwork to outwork Khaos to decision win.

Two judges scored the fight 29-28 for Brown with the third official going 29-28 for Williams. The “Rude Boy” sent a shout out to Jamaica in his post-match interview.

That is his third win in a row in a welterweight division that is full of killers. The main event saw Charles Oliveira defeat Justin Gaethje via rear-naked choke.

If Randy Brown continues in this trajectory then it’s only a matter of time before he gets a title-shot against superstar champion Kamaru Usman.
