Rasheed Broadbell; a Jamaican Olympic bronze medalist, has made a comeback to the MVP Track Club. He has announced that he will be working with Stephen Francis; legendary track and field coach.
Broadbell is hoping to accomplish great things in the next face of his career.
Broadbell ended his three-year stint with Elite Performance Track Club where he was working with Reynaldo Walcott. He recently made a comeback in the University of Technology (UTech) club. He made headlines when he clinched a third-place finish in the 110m hurdles during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Broadbell believes that Francis can add a lot of value to his career. The 24-year-old began his career at MVP.
“I am glad to return to where I began my journey in 2019. I believe that this institution has maintained its core values. I believe that Francis shares the same values as me. He can add experience into my track and field career,” he told journalists.
The ex St Jago High standout clinched national titles in 2023 and 2024. In 2022, Broadbell went home with a gold medal that was earned in the Commonwealth Games.
He’s one of seven men who can boast of running sub 13 seconds since 2020. He also boasts of a time of 12.94 seconds, this is the third fastest Jamaican in 110m hurdles.
