Roofe must find a way of remaining fit in order to remain in the long-term plans of coach Beale

Jamaican striker Kemar Roofe, has taken a break from his injury-plagued season to concentrate on rehabilitating his calf. He is currently undergoing sessions with a specialist.
Rangers manager Michael Beale revealed that the 30-year-old Jamaican will miss many games in the sidelines. Roofe has played very few games this season with only two goals in six appearances.
He looked strong when he came back from a long lay-off in February. He scored a winner over Aberdeen to help Rangers secure a spot in the Scottish League Cup final. However, his joy was short-lived. He was unfit to play in the next four games although he still showed up when they beat Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup.
Roofe made two consecutive appearances with the second one coming when they beat Livingston 3-0. Unfortunately, he ended up missing League Cup final when it happened last Sunday. He must have been hurt to see his team beaten by their arc-rivals Celtic in a 2-1 loss. He would have certainly made an impact if he was playing because he has a good record of scoring in important games.
Roofe had tried his best to make the squad but he was just unlucky. It wasn’t meant for him to help Rangers win this trophy.
Coach Beale revealed that they are hoping to get to the end of Roofe’s injury misery. That’s why the team has hired one of the best specialists in Europe.
Roofe has struggled to stay fit since he arrived in Rangers from Anderlecht in Belgium. Roofe must find a way of remaining fit in order to remain in the long-term plans of coach Beale. Beale is on the verge of revamping his squad with new players in the summer.
Leon Bailey also underwent similar issues when he arrived in Aston Villa but he has overcome his injury problems to become one of the most consistent performers.
