He is being pursued by Fulham, Southampton, Sheffield United and QPR

Reggae Boyz Kemar Roofe is attracting the interest of several English clubs. The clubs have been monitoring the Rangers striker because his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
Rangers are unlikely to renew Roofe’s contract during the transfer window. The Jamaican striker has fallen down the pecking order in the Scottish club. Philippe Clement, the Rangers coach, has been preferring to use Cyriel Dessers and Fabio Silva in the starting line ups. Roofe is also facing stiff competition from Abdallah Sima and Brazilian hitman Danilo.
Roofe, 31, will become a free agent in the upcoming transfer window. He has played for the Glasgow-based club for the last four years. He arrived in 2020 after spending time in Anderlecht FC.
Over the last three years, Roofe has established himself as one of Rangers most prolific goal scorers. However, he struggled to remain fit over the last one year. He has been haunted by recurring hip injury over the last few months. Although he is currently fit, he has not been included in the last two matchday squads.
According to reports, many English clubs will be looking to sign him on a free transfer. The sources claim that he is wanted by Sheffield United and Fulham. The two clubs are currently plying their trade in the English Premier League. He is also on the list Championship outfits Queen’s Park Rangers and Southampton FC.
The Jamaican striker is likely to be interested in a return to England because he has previously played for West Brom. In fact, he began his career in West Brom’s youth ranks. He also spent some time at Leeds United and Oxford United.
Rangers is looking to release some players in order to free up the wage bill for some new recruits. Roofe is likely to be one of the players that will depart because coach Clement is looking to build a youngers squad.
A return to England might be the best thing for Roofe’s career. In recent months, he has looked like a player who needs a new challenge. It also helps that the English leagues offer more lucrative wages and they’re also more popular across the world.
Roofe recently told journalists that he isn’t aware of what the future holds for him. He revealed that he enjoys playing for Rangers but his fate was up to to coach Clement. He praised the Rangers fanbase for always supporting him during his high and low moments. He insisted that he is currently concentrating on helping the team win all their remaining games.
