He has been having dialogues with the JFF to extend his contract for him to guide the team through next year’s World Cup tournament.

Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz will have their first home game in seven months in November this year. According to current national head coach Lorne Donaldson and his colleagues, their contracts are yet to be finalized.
The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) publicly declared that the Reggae Girlz are set to face Paraguay in an international series of 2 games next month in the year’s final window. The game is part of the preparation for the FIFA Women’s World Cup scheduled for next summer in Australia and New Zealand.
Donaldson was hired on a short-term contract for their prosperous Concacaf Women’s Championship campaign. He has been having dialogues with the JFF to extend his contract for him to guide the team through next year’s World Cup tournament.
They were expected to have reached an agreement last month after an international friendly against South Korea. However, this did not happen and Donaldson revealed that they were on the final stages of the contract and an understanding should be reached shortly.
The president of the JFF, Michael Ricketts, said that the conversations with Donaldson have not had any difficulties and he fully believes that the matter will be solved so that they may concentrate on the tournament.
The two-game series will have Jamaica first meeting Paraguay on November 10th in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay at the Montego Bay Sports Complex and on November 13th at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Donaldson stated that they wanted to remain consistent and not exempt the young players while mentioning the November and February windows as being extremely importance in building the team for the tournament.
Jamaica are yet to know their opponents in the first round. This will be revealed on October 22nd when the World Cup draw is complete.
