The game is likely to happen on November 9 although this isn’t a sanctioned Fifa date

The Jamaica Football Federation is in negotiations with several teams that will participate in next month’s World Cup. This announcement was made by Micheal Ricketts; the JFF president. The World Cup will be held in Qatar.
Ricketts revealed that they are hoping to use this match as preparation of next year’s Gold Cup. The match will provide a good opportunity for Reggae Boyz Head Coach Heimir Hallgrimsson to asses the state of his squad.
The officials have been looking for a team that is ranked among the top 20 best teams in the world. They hope that this team can play against Jamaica just before the world cup.
The JFF officials revealed that Jamaica is likely to compete against Cameroon. Both teams will be playing their local squad because they will be missing their overseas-based players. The game is likely to happen on November 9 although this isn’t a sanctioned Fifa date.
This game comes after Jamaica’s recent match against Argentina; another team that will beparticipating in the World Cup. Ricketts revealed that the JFF is organizing these types of matches in order to expose Jamaican players to the best teams in the world.
Playing against Cameroon will give locally based players a chance to break into Coach Heimir Hallgrimsson’s team.
The game against Argentina ended up in a 3-0 win in favor of Argentina. This game was held in the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.
The 2023 Gold Cup tournament is scheduled to be held in the United States from June 26 to July 16.
