Alana Reid has revealed that she is ready to give another spectacular performance like the one she delivered in the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships. She recently recorded 10.92 seconds when she competed in the Class One girls’ 100 metres.
Reid is set to compete over the weekend in the East Coast International Showcase meet. She will be competing in the 100 metres race. The event will happen in Landover, Maryland. Reid is a record holder in the national junior 100 metres.
She said that she is in fantastic shape and she expects to continue with her dominance. She is currently preparing herself at Prince George Sports And Learning Complex.
She will be facing off against Virgin Island’s Adaejah Hodge in the girls’ 100 metres at the East Coast International Showcase. Reid’s first race will happen tomorrow. Hodge is a tough competitor since she is the second-fastest junior this season with 11.11 seconds.
Reid revealed that she plans to win by ignoring her competition and focusing on her herself. She will be coming with a positive mindset. She promised her fans that she will do her best and push herself to her limit.
Reid said that she is not deterred by the cold conditions in Maryland. This is because she is coming from winning the 4×100 metres relay in the cold and windy conditions of the Penn Relays. She confirmed that she has competed through worse weather conditions.
