He coached the Reggae Girlz to their debut FIFA Women’s World Cup back in 2019 in France
The First-Vice President of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association, Carvel Stewart pointed out that the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) should act upon reappointing Hue Menzies, former head coach of the senior women’s national team, back to his position.
Stewart commented on the matter after the general secretary of the JFF, Dennis Chung, disclosed to the media about the possibility of rehiring Menzies to an important role in the national programme.
The national women’s programmes are not new to the English-born Menzies as he coached the Reggae Girlz to their debut FIFA Women’s World Cup back in 2019 in France.
Nevertheless, he resigned from the role just after this accomplishment as he claimed that the JFF did not only disrespect him but also lacked professionalism.
Menzies is a masters holder in business. In addition, he is the executive director of Florida Kraze Krush, a football organization based in Florida. Stewart believes that Menzies should be the one who guiding the country women’s setup from now henceforth.
Charles Edwards, former national coach, backs Stewart on the matter adding that Menzies should be reappointed as soon as he and the JFF resolve their issues.
According to Menzies, the JFF has already approached him and he is willing to help steer the women’s football programme.
