This Goal Might Help Derby to Remain in the Championship
Reggae boy star Ravel Morrison continued his hot goal-scoring form by scoring a stunning scissor kick for Derby County. The midfielder came off the bench to grab an 80th-minute winner in the 1-0 victory over Preston North End at Pride Park Stadium.
The midfielder recently scored an impressive goal for the Reggae Boyz in their 2-1 win against Honduras. His red hot form has seen him score four goals in his last five games for Derby County.
Morrison’s latest goal will go a long way in helping the Rams stay alive in the Championship relegation battle.
Morrison was used as substitute because he needed rest after his recent exertions while on World Cup duty with Jamaica.
He played 90 minutes in each of their qualifiers against El Salvador, Canada and Honduras, and only arrived back in England on Friday morning.
Morrison is playing at a world-class level and he is reminding fans of the talent he displayed while he was upcoming teenager for Manchester United.
Morrison is in fine form, and he has now played more games for Derby than he did for any of his previous 11 clubs. Rams boss Wayne Rooney is delighted with the player and expressed his satisfaction with his improvements.
Wayne Rooney said that Morrison had been misunderstood in his previous teams. He revealed that he had helped him work on his off-ball movement so that he can maintain the shape of the team.
This improvement in discipline has led to an increase in Morrison’s goals and assists. Rooney, who is a former Manchester united striker, also praised the Jamaican’s attitude.
