PFJL promised to keep pushing the organizers of the premier league to give Monday nights the most suitable games

Several concerns have been raised over the planning of Monday night’s broadcasted fixtures of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL). Last week saw many fans troubled with the fact that the Vere United versus Portmore United match was given the prime slot instead of the Waterhouse versus Arnett Gardens match which was more suitable.
Owen Hill, CEO of Professional Football Jamaica Limited (PFJL), explained that they have taken up the issue with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) committee of competitions. The committee is responsible for fixture scheduling.
Hill stated that they have not had much success in trying to convince the committee to plan the most attractive matches for the JPL Monday night games. He argued that the Arnett-Waterhouse match would attract more fans and interest as compared to the Vere-Portmore fixture which he explained negatively impacts the sport.
Ewan Scott, vice chairman of the competitions committee, disclosed that suggestions by the PFJL are at times not considered since a certain balance is necessary during the scheduling of teams.
He further stated that they will keep pushing the organizers of the premier league to give Monday nights the most suitable games.
