Oneofakind Turns the Tables on Calculus in the Chairman’s Trophy

Dane Nelson rode two winners at Caymanas Park including ONEOFAKIND, who turned the tables on CALCULUS in the Chairman’s Trophy, denying his rival a hat-trick of wins against him.

In a stretch duel at seven and a half furlongs, Oneofakind challenged four-year-old Calculus winning by a neck to retaliate for back-to-back routs, January and February, during the Alexander Hamilton Commemoration and Miracle Man Trophy, separately.

Before straightening in a duel for the lead, these two moved as a group in the six-horse field. Oneofakind, while running off the rail, kept Calculus in near quarters, rendering Shane Ellis to satisfactorily energize his mount, he was defeated by a neck.

Oneofakind gave Nelson a second victory on the 10-race card, sharing respects with first rider, Dane Dawkins. Nelson, three victors behind Dawkins in the standings, opened account straddling Better Best, who made all within the third occasion at seven furlongs.

The programme was launched by Dawkins with 4-5 top choice Citadel for Harry Parsard. He kept up his lead on the jockeys’ table with an all-the way triumph with one leg on each side of 6-1 shot Sharp Skirt for O’Neil Markland in the ninth at six furlongs. Racing will proceed during the weekend with get-togethers on both Saturday and Sunday.
