All the players who have been picked will receive invitations and the full team list will be released by this weekend

There were trials for athletes who want to be in the Jamaica’s World Championships lacrosse squad. Samuel Henry emerged as the only player who got a spot in the squad. He used to represent Kingston College.
The trials saw more than 30 participants try out but only the Masouri Valley College scholar won Mark Wilson’s heart . He offered him a place in the team for San Diego.
All the players who have been picked will receive invitations and the full team list will be released by this weekend.
Nonetheless, this does not mark the end of the team selections as approximately 12 other players will be picked to a B team that will accompany the national team to the Heritage Cup and the World Championships to challenge other B teams in second-level tournaments. Wilson explained that these second-level tournaments will bring about more chances and exposure. All the same, many players may fail to qualify as they may lack the necessary travel documents.
In the meantime, the players selected for the World Championships team will not meet until May during the Heritage Cup. They will all be active during this period.
